Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to individuals as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards and regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitor and report changes in individual health status to attending physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in health, safety, and infection control committees to promote a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide education and training to staff on health services, medications, and side effects.
Requirements
  • Completed post-secondary education coursework to facilitate licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Ability to relate positively and favorably to individuals and families and work cooperatively with other associates.
