About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to individuals as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing practices and regulations.
  • Act as a consultant to other departments to ensure the growth and development of our programs and services.
  • Regularly attend and participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Make recommendations for nursing objectives and criteria to address identified needs.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to plan, evaluate, and implement programs and services.
  • Complete nursing assignments within 30 days of admission and annually thereafter.
Requirements
  • Completed post-secondary education coursework to facilitate licensure as a LPN or LVN.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to relate positively and favorably to individuals and families.
