Perinatal Nurse Specialist

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our OB-GYN department, you will provide high-quality care to patients in our Perinatal/OB-GYN unit. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in perinatal care
- Assist with surgical procedures and provide support to patients and families during this time
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- A minimum of one year perinatal experience preferred
- NRP certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
- ACLS certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
- Able to perform as Scrub and Surgical Assist in OB OR
- Level I and II fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire
- Able to function in stressful situations
- Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call
