Perinatal Nurse Specialist

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our OB-GYN department, you will provide high-quality care to patients in our Perinatal/OB-GYN unit. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a talented team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in the Perinatal/OB-GYN unit.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in cross-training to Surgical assist, scrub, and circulate in the Operating Room.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Assume charge responsibilities and assign staff accordingly, considering patient condition and care requirements.
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of one year perinatal experience preferred.
- NRP, or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Able to perform as Scrub and Surgical Assist in OB OR.
- Level I and II fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.
- Able to function in stressful situations.
- Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
