Job Summary

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our OB-GYN department, you will provide high-quality care to patients in our Perinatal/OB-GYN unit. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Perinatal/OB-GYN unit, including obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in perinatal care
  • Assist with surgical procedures in the Operating Room, including scrubbing and circulating
Requirements
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • A minimum of one year perinatal experience preferred
  • NRP certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
  • ACLS certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
  • Able to perform as Scrub and Surgical Assist in OB OR
  • Level I and II fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire
  • Able to function in stressful situations
  • Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call
