Position Details:

  • Shift: 2nd shift; variable days
  • Employment Type: Full Time, night shift in the Emergency Room
  • Travel: None
  • Compensation: Based on experience

Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Nursing team member is to ensure an outstanding patient experience while delivering professional nursing services across various inpatient and outpatient settings. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process, which includes patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care provided. Collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team is essential to offer both physical and emotional support to patients and their families, while adhering to hospital policies and nursing standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide direct, compassionate nursing care tailored to individual patient needs.
  2. Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
  3. Adhere to infection control protocols to protect patients and staff.
  4. Assist physicians during examinations and treatments specific to the Emergency Department.
  5. Administer medications accurately using electronic health records.
  6. Document and monitor patient status, reporting any changes promptly.
  7. Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  8. Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  10. Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments for all age groups.
  11. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met.
  12. Participate in training and mentoring of new staff members.
  13. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NC.
  • CPR Certification.
  • ACLS Certification obtained during orientation.
  • PALS Certification within three months of hire.
  • Preferred: TNCC Certification.
