Position Overview: The Animal Care Specialist plays a vital role within our facility, reporting directly to the Resort Manager. You will be responsible for the care and safety of our guests, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.

A Day in the Life: As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on the daily care of our guests. Your responsibilities will vary, including walking dogs, providing potty breaks, feeding, administering medications, cleaning accommodations, and engaging in playtime with both dogs and cats. One day, you may help our overnight guests feel at home, while the next day, you could oversee daycare activities, ensuring harmonious interactions among pets. You will also have the opportunity to build relationships with pet owners, documenting observations and sharing insights with both your manager and the pet parents. Be prepared for a hands-on experience that includes cleaning, caring for pets, and receiving plenty of affectionate interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Treat each guest with respect and dignity.
  • Provide appropriate food and water, ensuring cleanliness of bowls daily.
  • Maintain a clean environment by addressing waste and spills promptly.
  • Safely walk dogs to and from exercise areas.
  • Engage in play activities, including fetch and basic obedience games.
  • Supervise multiple dogs during playtime, monitoring for any conflicts.
  • Ensure a sanitary environment by adhering to cleaning protocols.
  • Monitor guest health through daily observations and charting.
  • Report any unusual behavior or health concerns to management.
  • Operate cleaning equipment to maintain facility hygiene.
  • Assist in property maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
