Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily sanitation of the warehouse, utilizing industrial cleaning equipment such as sweepers and scrubbers to maintain dust-free floors.
- Regularly collect and dispose of waste from the facility, ensuring trash receptacles are emptied and cleaned as necessary.
- Perform detailed cleaning of various surfaces including racking systems, walls, staircases, doors, and waste management equipment.
- Compact excess cardboard materials using baling equipment.
- Assist with packaging and dock operations as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as needed.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, and support various functions within the facility.
- Strong independent work ethic in a diverse workplace.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be capable of lifting, moving, and handling products and supplies weighing up to 75 lbs. This role involves various physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and maintaining visual acuity.
