Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Assistant to join our team in a school-based setting in Angleton, TX. As a Speech-Language Assistant, you will work closely with speech-language pathologists to implement treatment plans and support students in achieving their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans as directed by speech-language pathologists, ensuring effective communication and progress monitoring.
  • Document students' progress toward communication skills, as outlined in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and maintain accurate records.
  • Collect data as a measure of student progress, analyzing results to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Perform support duties, such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Assist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills, selecting or preparing instructional materials as needed.
  • Assist speech-language pathologists in the conduct of student screenings or assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate information on student goals, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Test or maintain equipment to ensure correct performance, ensuring that all necessary tools and resources are available and functioning properly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communications Disorders.
  • Texas SLPA license.
