Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates patients' medical histories and current health status to effectively prepare them for cardiac catheterization.
  • Prepares specialized instruments and monitors patients throughout procedures, prioritizing safety and optimal results.
  • Ensures a secure environment by adhering to universal safety measures and utilizing personal protective equipment to reduce risks for patients and staff.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team, including physicians and technicians, to facilitate efficient and successful procedures.
  • Provides education and emotional support to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Engages in professional development, adhering to advancement program requirements, and mentoring peers to foster growth and stay informed on the latest advancements in the field, enhancing patient care and clinical skills.
  • Performs additional duties as required.


Qualifications:

Education: Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or a related Allied Health field.

Experience:
Licensure/Certification: Required: BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS. North Carolina Board of Nursing License, RCIS for Cath Lab, RCES or IBHRE for EP, CCRN or RCIS for holding room.
