This role requires a strong foundation in nursing and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' medical history and current condition to prepare them for cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Prepare specialized equipment and monitor patients during procedures, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain a safe environment, adhere to universal precautions, and utilize personal protective equipment to minimize risks and ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and technicians, to support smooth and successful procedures.
- Provide patient education and support before, during, and after cardiac cath lab procedures.
- Adhere to professional advancement program requirements, engage in ongoing education, and mentor others to promote professional growth and development.
- EDUCATION: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- EXPERIENCE: 1 - 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience, or 1 - 2 years of Radiology Technical experience, or 2 years Paramedic experience
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS. North Carolina Board of Nursing License, RCIS for Cath Lab, RCES or IBHRE for EP, CCRN or RCIS for holding room
