The Executive Director, Global Collateral Management, will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Global Collateral Management function. This position will support the VP, Global Collateral Management, in overseeing and optimizing the company's collateral operations on a global scale. Key responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of global collateral and new business strategies, collaborating with various stakeholders, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the VP, Collateral Management, to develop and enhance collateral management capabilities, driving enterprise value.
- Support the Collateral and Liquidity Committee (CLC) deal approval process, enhancing new deal collateral analysis and documentation to strengthen RGA's negotiation position and risk management.
- Lead and enhance collateral stress testing and contingency planning capabilities, providing transparent communication and reporting with stakeholders regarding collateral impacts of pipeline and emerging risks.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of collateral management systems and tools to support growth in collateral use, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Global Collateral Management Wiki/SharePoint.
- Support the execution of collateral optimization strategies globally to advance and support enterprise growth strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in life insurance or reinsurance, including 5+ years in collateral management, investment, risk management, or a related field within the insurance or financial services industry.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced understanding of the US Life insurance and reinsurance markets.
- Proven project management and change management experience.
- Role model in a highly collaborative environment.
- Advanced problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective controls and reporting frameworks.
