Job Summary:

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled Veterinarian Program Manager to oversee the Veterinary Public Health Program. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of veterinary medicine and public health principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of veterinarians, administrative staff, and technical personnel
  • Develop and implement program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with county and departmental regulations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to program staff on animal disease control and prevention
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to develop and implement public health programs
  • Develop and manage program budgets and resources

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in veterinary medicine or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in veterinary medicine and public health
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
