Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Supervisor to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for supervising IR technologists, reviewing and prioritizing imaging studies, and ensuring effective utilization of personnel and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain weekly staff work schedules for technologists, prioritizing IR procedures and assigning work to subordinate staff members.
  • Administer annual performance evaluations for staff members, preparing and administering necessary paperwork to address progressive coaching situations.
  • Coordinate the IR team's workload with radiologists, other sections of Radiology, and departments outside of Radiology to ensure effective utilization of personnel and equipment.
  • Develop work schedules for direct reports, interview new candidates for IR technologist positions, and perform monthly one-on-one sessions with IR technologists to discuss daily activities and identify potential problem issues.
  • Review image quality of IR technologists, provide coaching on how to improve image quality, and review PACS Quality Control reports related to quality assurance and Safety Intelligence reports.
  • Oversee the maintenance of department inventory, ensuring that scheduled preventative maintenance activities are performed, and maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and personal dignity by following appropriate patient care guidelines, including the use of two patient identifiers.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree Required
  • 1-3 years professional work experience in the role as a radiologic and/or IR technologist Required
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
  • RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
