Job Summary

Denver Health is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in interventional procedures and providing diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians in interventional procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
  • Administer and record isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental guidelines.
  • Observe patients during procedures, set up and take down procedure rooms with necessary supplies, and retrieve items requested by physicians during procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment available in IR procedure rooms and adjust based on real-time instructions from physicians.
  • Retrieve necessary medical supplies for each procedure.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media for patient examinations according to radiologists' direction.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and personal dignity by following appropriate patient care guidelines.
  • Maintain imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests.
  • Assist in the maintenance of department inventory by ordering, stocking, and performing inventory checks on medical supplies utilized when performing IR examinations.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
  • RTCT-RT Computed Tomography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Preferred
  • RTVI-RT Vascular Interventional Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Preferred
  • 1-3 years professional work experience required in radiography and minimum 6 months of experience working in a procedural-based department Required
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
