About the Position:
- Responsible for implementing best practices to ensure student health and safety during international travel.
- Manage the Student International Travel Registry and respond to crises in education abroad programs.
- Supervise staff and collaborate with various university departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel Risk Management and Emergency Planning: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with international travel, including emergency response planning and crisis management.
- Incident Response and Compliance Management: Respond to incidents and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including reporting and documentation.
- Information Systems and Data Development: Design and implement data systems to track student travel and health information, and develop reports to inform decision-making.
- Program Administration: Oversee the administration of education abroad programs, including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
- Special Projects and Representation: Participate in special projects and represent the university in various capacities, including supervising staff and collaborating with external partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Five years of experience in a related field, including two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience living, working, studying, or traveling abroad.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of health and safety concerns in higher education.
- Experience in emergency planning and crisis response.
- Proficiency with Terra Dotta Study Abroad software.
