Nursing Manager - Internal Medicine

Job Summary:

This role is pivotal in overseeing and directing the administrative functions of the Internal Medicine and Specialty Services clinics. The Nursing Manager will collaborate closely with the practice administrator, physicians, and support personnel to ensure a streamlined and effective department. This position serves as the primary liaison for communication between patients and healthcare professionals regarding nursing-related matters.

Environmental Considerations:
Potential exposure to hazardous materials, temperature variations, and bloodborne pathogens.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds. Requires capabilities to stoop, reach, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications:

Required:
Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
Two (2) years of direct patient care nursing experience required.
Two (2) years of triage experience.
Two (2) years of medication administration experience.
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
Active licensure in the state of practice.
Valid Driver's License required.
Current CPR certification.

Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in computer skills, including Electronic Medical Records software, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Experience in managing a clinical back office setting and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records systems. Proven ability to lead and manage teams, ensuring quality medical care delivery in acute or ambulatory settings.

Preferred:
Registered Nurse (RN) designation preferred.
