Responsibilities
  • Organizational Support: Coordinate and maintain the provider's rounding schedule, ensuring seamless communication with facility staff to meet patient needs.
  • Professional Relationships: Foster courteous and professional working relationships with facility staff, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families, as well as colleagues.
  • Patient Census Management: Accurately maintain patient census for each assigned facility, guaranteeing up-to-date records.
  • Documentation and Communication: Complete precise merging of progress notes and transmit orders to pharmacies, facilities, laboratories, and diagnostic imaging companies as directed by the provider.
  • Order Clarification and Inventory Management: Respond to questions and provide clarification on orders when necessary, and maintain inventory supplies to ensure the provider is properly equipped.
  • Telemedicine Support: Facilitate telemedicine visits as needed, ensuring timely and effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Quality Objectives: Assist the provider in achieving CMS quality objectives, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is essential.
  • Communication and Documentation Skills: Ability to take detailed notes and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer and transcription skills, with experience in Clinical Works a plus.
  • Confidentiality and Organization: Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements and maintain a high level of organization, with excellent time-management skills.
  • Language and Transportation: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, and possess reliable transportation.
