Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain provider's rounding schedule and communicate with facility staff to ensure patient needs are met
- Maintain a courteous and professional working relationship with facility staff, other third-party providers, patients, and patient families, and coworkers
- Maintain an accurate patient census for each assigned facility
- Complete accurate merging of progress notes
- Transmit orders to pharmacy, facility, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging company as directed by the provider
- Answer questions and provide clarification on orders when appropriate
- Maintain inventory supplies to ensure provider is properly equipped
- Attend weekly medical assistant web meetings (via TEAMS)
- Facilitate telemedicine visits as needed
- Assist provider with CMS quality objectives
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant
- Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation
- Strong computer and transcription skills
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and high level of attention to detail
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must have reliable transportation
