Medical Assistant Professional

SIMEDHealth is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care division in Ocala, FL. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical day, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient care.
- Assist physicians with procedures, obtain vital signs, and document patient information.
- Coordinate patient referrals, authorizations, and insurance information.
- Prepare and administer medications, as ordered by physicians.
- Perform various patient procedures, including EKGs, spirometry testing, and wound care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, both electronically and in paper form.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic life support certification (BLS) and any other required certifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
