Job Summary:

This role is a key member of the patient services team, responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner. The Blood Collection Specialist will work under the direction of an area supervisor to ensure daily activities are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using phlebotomy skills and techniques">
  • Prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures">
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient information">
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • High school diploma or equivalent required">
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment">
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections">
  • Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment">
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting">
  • Superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly with peers and supervisors">
  • Medical training preferred; phlebotomy certification also beneficial">
  • At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections">
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred">

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
