Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons in a variety of surgical procedures, utilizing advanced knowledge of surgical techniques and instrumentation.
  • Prepare equipment, supplies, and resources necessary for surgical procedures, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Anticipate and plan individualized care based on advanced knowledge of surgical procedures and patient needs.
  • Implement a plan of care that incorporates physician-prescribed treatments, nursing assessments, and diagnostic data.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless execution of surgical procedures.
  • Supervise and evaluate the care provided by team members, maintaining accountability for the standard of care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or clinical certification in a related field.
  • Three years of experience in a surgical setting, with a focus on scrub technologist or certified surgical assistant roles.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certified First Assistant (CFA) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification from the American Board of Surgical Assistants or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
