Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Analyst plays a crucial role in establishing specific departmental objectives, standards, and goals that align with the strategic vision of Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities- Support the management of staff relations, focusing on performance evaluation, employee satisfaction, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement initiatives.
- Assist in delivering presentations at various organizational meetings, including those related to Quality and Safety.
- Contribute to monitoring departmental budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing vendor relationships.
- Evaluate the quality of patient care and coordinate services among patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Facilitate an environment that promotes professional development and growth.
- Incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical operations and protocols.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required. A Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or Quality is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of diverse clinical experience in an acute care setting is required. Previous experience in performance improvement and large-scale project management is essential. Demonstrated leadership skills are necessary.
Skills:
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment are required.
Licenses:
Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or a Compact State is mandatory.
