Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with departmental directors to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives that align with the organization's vision and mission.
- Provide support in managing staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement initiatives.
- Assist in making presentations at various meetings, including the Quality and Safety Committee, New Employee Orientation, and other relevant forums.
- Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Determine and justify needs for systems, equipment, and supplies purchases, and oversee their proper working order and stock levels.
- Assess the quality of patient care delivered and coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Provide patient care when necessary.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth and development.
- Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or Quality preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment required.
- Previous performance improvement and/or large-scale project management experience required.
- Demonstrated progressive leadership skills required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
