Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals.

Overview:

A Shining Light, Inc. is a leading organization providing support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with daily living activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines.
  • Provide direct support and supervision to clients with developmental disabilities.
  • Engage clients in recreational and social activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to ensure client needs are met.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.
  • Ability to provide direct support and care in a compassionate manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of clients with disabilities.
Salary and Benefits:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career growth within our organization.

Schedule:

We utilize a 6-week rotation schedule for full-time employees:

  • Week 1: Monday and Tuesday off.
  • Week 2: Tuesday and Wednesday off.
  • Week 3: Wednesday and Thursday off.
  • Week 4: Thursday and Friday off.
  • Week 5: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.
  • Week 6: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off.

All staff are required to work 4 hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas (to be paid for 8) and working any major holiday is compensated with a holiday bonus.
