About the Role

At NSSC LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team at Maple Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care Campus in Essex Junction, VT. This is a full-time evening position requiring 3pm-11:30pm shifts every other weekend.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. As a member of our Resident Care department, you will work closely with our experienced staff to deliver personalized care plans tailored to each resident's unique requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide activities of daily living assistance to residents as directed by their service plan.
  • Understand and comply with all resident rights.
  • Work well with older adults of all abilities, demonstrating understanding and patience.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal services to residents as requests and needs change.
Requirements
  • Preferred but not required: current certification as a nursing assistant or successful completion of certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write simple correspondence.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
