Residential Youth Specialist

Bethany is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our residential treatment facility, you will play a vital role in providing care and supervision to adolescent male youth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build positive relationships with youth and encourage their growth and development.
  • Supervise youth during daily routines and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide residential advocacy by presenting social history and reviewing legal, family, psychological, and school history.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with youth in a residential setting is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be reliable with time-sensitive deadlines and tasks.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model and demonstrate compassion and empathy.
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be able to pass required medical examinations and have the physical ability to fulfill essential job functions.
  • Successfully pass an annual TB test and document preference to receive or decline Hepatitis immunization.
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license and at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
