Job Title: Residential Youth Specialist

Join Bethany, a leading international Christian nonprofit, in making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Specialist to provide care and supervision to residents in our program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for residents, ensuring their developmental needs are met and treatment goals are achieved.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with residents, offering insight into their functioning and participation in the program.
  • Oversee resident safety and community well-being, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to implement treatment plans and ensure resident progress.
  • Participate in bi-monthly meetings with the supervisor to discuss job performance and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with youth in a residential setting is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Reliable with time-sensitive deadlines and tasks.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model and demonstrate compassion and empathy.
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license and at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
