Job Summary

The Senior Sales Professional is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium sized businesses within a specified territory. Primary services include coax delivered Internet, video, and voice. Ancillary services encompass custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more. The successful candidate will achieve sales and revenue goals through effective prospecting for new customers as well as the sale of bundled services to new customers.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating all sales leads through various prospecting tactics and working every lead from initial contact to sale. A comprehensive Territory Plan, developed under the instruction of the Sales Manager, will be designed to expand the customer base within the assigned territory. This individual must be 100% focused on generating new Internet, voice, and video customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support efforts to enhance the customer experience by providing exceptional service.
  • Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely administrative work, including sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Spectrum Business coax services, rates (individual and bundled), and applicable taxes.
  • Demonstrate strong selling skills and product knowledge by practicing regularly with other Account Executives and staying up-to-date with new sales techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, utilizing Salesforce.com to maximize territory potential.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.

Requirements:

  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Familiarity with communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model, preferably with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • A proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Moderate noise levels are expected.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
