Role Summary:
The Evening Dining Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the restaurant service team, ensuring a seamless flow of service and maintaining the dining area’s aesthetic appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries and requests.
- Assist in the setup and organization of the dining room and outdoor seating areas.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently between courses and after meals.
- Provide guests with water, condiments, and dishes as needed.
- Serve beverages as ordered, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens, silverware, china, and glassware for service.
- Perform daily closing duties as directed.
- Safely dispose of broken glass and sharp objects in designated containers.
- Organize used silverware, china, and glassware in appropriate racks and bins.
- Report any maintenance or visual issues to management.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role within a dining establishment is preferred. Experience in a hotel restaurant setting is a plus.
Skills and Attributes:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
- Commitment to safety and high-quality service standards.
- Friendly demeanor with a focus on customer service.
- Reliable team player who can work independently.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Candidates should be comfortable performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, reaching, and using stairs regularly.
