Respiratory Care Technician Opportunity at Piedmont HealthCare

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver aerosol treatments, conduct chest physiotherapy, and perform oximetry assessments for stable patients
  • Execute Basic Life Support procedures
  • Instruct and demonstrate respiratory care techniques to patients and their families
  • Sanitize, assemble, set up, and manage respiratory equipment and supplies

Carry out non-invasive respiratory interventions as prescribed under the guidance of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care program with at least one semester completed
  • Must maintain active student status and provide a recommendation letter from the Program Director for employment consideration
  • Completion of a student respiratory therapy clinical rotation is required
  • Current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory, with a commitment to uphold all necessary respiratory care skills
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required following the completion of the second semester of the respiratory care program or within 60 days of employment
