Summary:
This position involves a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, with rotating on-call shifts during the evenings and weekends.

The Dietitian evaluates nutritional health, interprets data, formulates recommendations, and executes physician directives. This role includes developing personalized nutrition care plans and achieving educational objectives. The Dietitian also communicates patient concerns to caregivers and reviews current research to assess the nutritional status of patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts and documents comprehensive nutrition assessments, interprets data, formulates clinical recommendations, and creates nutrition care plans. Ensures the implementation of these plans by the staff and reviews them regularly, requesting additional information as necessary. Executes physician directives.
  • Acts as a resource and educator for patients and their families to enhance health and nutrition awareness. Stays informed about the latest trends in health and nutrition. Provides educational sessions to Altru Health System and the surrounding community on health and nutrition topics.
  • Communicates patient concerns to caregivers and offers follow-up services as required.
  • Delivers individualized or group instruction, adapting educational methods to accommodate specific needs.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to fulfill departmental and organizational requirements.
Required Certifications:
  • Dietitian | North Dakota Board of Dietetic Practice (NDBODP) | Prior to Start Date
  • Registered Dietitian | Commission on Dietetic Registration | Prior to Start Date
  • Driver's License with Acceptable Driving Record | Current State Licensed | Prior to Start Date
