Company Overview:
PrimeCare Medical is seeking to recruit Practical Nursing Specialists to join our team on a part-time or as-needed basis during evening hours within a correctional healthcare setting.
Position Details:
In this capacity, you will deliver comprehensive nursing services while working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Available Shift:
Part-Time or PRN Evening (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
Compensation:
$27 per hour with an additional $2 shift differential.
Key Responsibilities:
The Practical Nursing Specialist will be responsible for providing thorough nursing care while ensuring effective communication of pertinent information to the appropriate staff.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Maintaining precise records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharp instruments in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conducting health assessments for patients and administering treatments for various conditions as per established protocols.
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, while actively participating in care planning.
- Managing medical documentation within the patient's electronic health record.
Training:
This role includes a two-week orientation period, during which you will receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced nursing staff.
