About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Stroke/Vascular Neurologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our neurology department, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with stroke and vascular conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with stroke and vascular conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Coordinate discharge planning with case management to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization.
  • Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
  • Provide accurate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal denials in a timely manner.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialty, including on-call schedules.
