Job Title: RN OBGYN

Job Summary:

The RN OBGYN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the obstetrics and gynecology department. This role involves directing, planning, and organizing nursing activities on the unit, focusing on patient, physician, and staff needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled patient care through the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care among patient/family, medicine, nursing, ancillary, and other team personnel.
  • Act as patient advocate and maintain current knowledge and standards of professional nursing practice.
  • Assist in the orientation, evaluation, and supervision of agency/temporary staff, new nurses, and other staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in medical/surgical, ICU, ED, OR, PACU, OPS, or NICU.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Certification per unit-specific competency (e.g., BLS, CPI, etc.).
  • NIHS Scale, stroke education, cardiac education, and ortho education as per department-specific competencies.

Salary Range: $29.00 - $40.00
