Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Systems Analyst to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and development services for our healthcare applications and interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the selection and evaluation of IT products and tools to ensure they meet enterprise-wide requirements and adapt to changing technologies.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation to describe program development and modification, as well as troubleshooting.
  • Function as a liaison to health system departments using IT resources and ensure proper use of resources and maintain high service levels.
  • Design and implement solutions to enhance and improve existing systems, and participate in the assessment of systems to meet technical and business requirements.
  • Provide timely updates to management, customers, and others regarding progress on assigned tasks, projects, and issues.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).

Experience: Two years of IT systems and/or operational experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment, and demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The work assignment type is remote, and the location of the job is in Morrisville, NC.

This position is exempt from overtime and is employed by NC Health, a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
