Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Neurologic Music Therapist to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services in Dallas, TX.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

This position requires a highly skilled Music Therapist to provide habilitative and rehabilitative services to individuals with brain injury, spinal cord injury, or stroke/CVA. Key responsibilities include evaluating and assessing patients' needs, administering music therapy treatment, and collaborating with other disciplines to support patient goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patients' needs and develop measurable objectives.
  • Administer music therapy treatment to provide habilitative and rehabilitative services.
  • Plan and organize music therapeutic activities tailored to patients' needs, capabilities, and interests.
  • Communicate patients' needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, and family members as applicable.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to support patient meeting their Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech goals.
  • Maintain and submit evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation according to company requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field.
  • Current license as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) or equivalent certification.
  • Prior postgraduate work experience as a music therapist is preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
