We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Nexus Children's Hospital. As a Physical Therapist-PRN Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and providing physical therapy services to referred patients.

Job Summary

This is a PRN position, which means you will work on an as-needed basis to provide services to patients. You will be responsible for evaluating patients within two to three working days of physician referral and developing effective treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients in inpatient and outpatient settings to identify their physical therapy needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address patient goals and objectives
  • Implement and supervise the implementation of treatment plans
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and meetings to optimize patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Texas
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in an IP and OP setting with developmental disabilities and neurological/orthopedic conditions
  • Certification in behavior management or related field (SAMA, ABA, PIP, etc.)
