Position Overview:

Titan Security Services Inc is actively seeking dedicated Full-Time Unarmed Security Officers to serve as Security Operations Specialists at various client sites across the North/Northwest suburban Chicago region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role of Security Operations Specialist is designated as a utility officer executing security and/or concierge responsibilities for Titan's clientele.
  • Complete training and qualify for assigned posts. Grasp the specific and general instructions for all designated posts. Retain a practical understanding of all additional and emergency protocols required by the client at each unique location.
  • Uphold access control measures established by property management.
  • Effectively operate access control systems, visitor management systems, and CCTV systems as necessary.
  • Identify all tenants and/or visitors upon their arrival.
  • Ensure that visitors and vendors are properly registered before entering the premises.
  • Monitor departing personnel to prevent theft of tenant or property assets.
  • Oversee security cameras located within the facility.
  • Respond to incidents, including property emergencies.
  • Conduct general patrols of the entire property during various hours, if required, including multiple flights of stairs and frequent exterior patrols in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended durations.
  • Assist tenants and visitors with directions and general information.
  • Accurately document data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and equipment malfunctions, reporting to building and Titan management.
  • Maintain clear and precise logs regarding individuals or property, including packages.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all individuals encountered while on duty.
  • This position reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of 1 year of satisfactory experience as an Unarmed Security Officer or in a related field. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid PERC or the ability to obtain/maintain a PERC through IDFPR is required. A valid Illinois driver's license is essential for this role. Access to personal transportation is crucial due to limited suburban mass transit options. Maintaining a valid Illinois driver's license along with a satisfactory DMV record enhances your potential assignment area within a designated business portfolio, as well as allows for assignments requiring vehicular mobile patrol.

Language Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Other Qualifications: Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. Candidates must maintain a working phone number and accurate residential information throughout their employment for communication purposes.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to effectively perform the essential functions of this position. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs., conduct foot patrols both inside and outside of assigned facilities, and perform duties regardless of inclement weather.

Compensation and Benefits: The salary for this position starts at $20.00 per hour, in addition to paid time off, medical and dental insurance, paid holidays, and pension/retirement benefits. Opportunities for skills-enhancing training and career advancement are available.
