Role Overview

  • Position: Technical Artist
  • Summary: The Technical Artist position is pivotal in bridging the gap between artistic vision and engineering execution. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency of content pipelines and workflows, ensuring a seamless integration of art assets into the Unity engine. Responsibilities include developing tools, scripts, and plugins, as well as optimizing performance across various artistic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Art Leads, Engineers, and various artists to refine workflows and processes.
  • Create tools and scripts to streamline the integration of art assets into Unity.
  • Establish animation controllers, state machines, and event triggers.
  • Diagnose technical issues and optimize performance metrics proactively.
  • Assist the art team in prototyping new concepts through innovative tools.
  • Explore and implement new technologies and tools.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent expertise.
  • Proficient in Unity with a solid understanding of its framework.
  • Expertise in high-level coding and scripting languages (C#, Python, etc.).
  • Strong familiarity with industry-standard DCC tools (Max, Maya, ZBrush, etc.).
  • Comprehensive understanding of 3D development, including modeling, texturing, and rendering.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for creating tools that empower creativity.
  • Customer-centric approach, understanding the importance of supporting team members.
  • Experience with mobile gaming pipelines and managing technical constraints.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and automation environments.

Compensation Overview

The starting salary for this role typically ranges from $102,000 to $120,000, with a full range of $102,000 to $152,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
