Med Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care. This role requires a blend of specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to effectively manage patient care. The RN will utilize a variety of scientific principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care tailored to individual patient needs.
Develops, implements, and assesses an interdisciplinary care plan for each patient in collaboration with the healthcare team and the patient's family. Communicates the care plan effectively to all team members involved in patient care, prioritizing based on patient assessments. Provides clear guidance to patients and families regarding treatment, engaging them in the care process. Recognizes and addresses diverse patient needs, including those related to behavioral health and cultural considerations. Demonstrates critical thinking and adaptability in addressing unit needs. Maintains accurate documentation of nursing processes, including treatment evaluations, in accordance with hospital policies. Serves as a mentor and resource for new staff and colleagues. Takes initiative for personal professional development and supports the growth of peers and team members. Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Current RN License in the state. Preferred experience of at least one year in Med Surg nursing.
