Overview

The Banking Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Personal Banking Representative function. This position involves mentoring team members and serving as a reliable substitute for the Operations Supervisor when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possesses advanced knowledge of Alpine Bank products and relevant banking regulations.
  • Facilitates the training and development of both new and existing team members.
  • Assists with audits, scheduling, and training initiatives at the location.
  • Exhibits advanced skills in customer sales and service.
  • Performs all duties associated with Customer Service and Personal Banking roles as necessary.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a backup to the Operations Supervisor for designated tasks.
  • Authorized to provide overrides and conduct drawer audits.
  • May be assigned dormant A or B status based on location needs.
All employees are accountable for fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding and application of relevant banking compliance regulations.

  • Basic math and cash handling capabilities.

  • Basic proficiency in keyboard navigation.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of banking compliance regulations.
  • Utilizes available tools and training programs to exceed customer expectations and achieve satisfactory scores on evaluations.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public certification is advantageous.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
Education or Formal Training:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is recommended.
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License.
Experience:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Customer Service Representative and Personal Banking roles is preferred.
Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This position operates within a professional office setting. Standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines are routinely used. The role may require prolonged periods of standing or sitting and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be necessary, along with potential travel for conferences or meetings.

The following physical demands are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:

Ability to stand for extended periods, maintain good eyesight and hand/finger dexterity, and manage mental stress when addressing customer concerns. The role may involve significant computer work while also requiring occasional travel for meetings or conferences. Regular communication is necessary, and specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in repetitive motions.
