About the Role
As a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will assess and address the respiratory needs of patients, developing and executing tailored care plans. You will be part of a collaborative team that values compassionate patient care and strives for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage acute care ventilators for both short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
- Work independently when necessary, demonstrating leadership in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Deliver care with empathy and professionalism, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required within six months of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and moving equipment.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
