About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Engineer to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Engineering and Technical Design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative products that meet the strategic business goals of our company.

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will lead the technical development process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with our quality and compliance teams to understand performance testing protocols and develop products that meet them. Your expertise in product manufacturing, raw materials, and manufacturing processes will be essential in identifying technical specifications and quality standards.

You will also collaborate with vendors to ensure that the brand vision is clearly understood and successfully brought to life with every product we offer. Additionally, you will manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2-5 direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in manufacturing, industrial engineering, product development, or a related field. You should have at least 8 years of relevant experience and advanced expertise in a specific category or business. Knowledge of testing, safety, and legal requirements for consumer products, as well as strong knowledge of various 2-D and/or 3-D CAD software packages, is essential.

This is a hybrid/flex for your day work arrangement, which means you will need to be able to work both onsite at our Target HQ MN location and virtually, depending on the needs of the team and tasks. If hired, you will be prohibited from working remotely from one of the 16 states listed above for more than 30 days per year.
