About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Security Engineer to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and developing security features for our medical devices, ensuring the security of our products throughout their lifecycle, and collaborating with R&D teams to identify and mitigate security threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform security assessments of company products, including vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews.
  • Design and develop security features for products, including systems, applications, and solutions.
  • Integrate new security features and updates into existing products and ensure the security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide product security engineering recommendations and resolve integration and testing issues.
  • Build a standardized set of security product requirements and produce metrics to report performance against those requirements.
  • Review and define security diagnostics and tools to facilitate the analysis and reporting of security events.
  • Detect and mitigate security risks, respond to product security incidents, and work with customers regarding product security-related issues.
  • Lead or participate in security architecture and design review meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technically related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Nice to have: experience with implementation and management of MDM and MAM solutions, strong communication and collaboration skills, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, iOS mobile security experience, product security experience, embedded security experience, application security experience, security certification, threat modeling experience, and experience with security frameworks and compliance standards.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations: $123, $184,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
