Journeyman Lineman Job Description

PacifiCorp is seeking skilled professionals to join our team as Journeyman Linemen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical transmission and distribution systems, including overhead and underground lines.
  • Operate line trucks, aerial boom, lifts, and wire pulling equipment to construct, repair, or maintain line equipment or string, splice, and sag wire on live or dead circuits.
  • Work on de-energized lines and equipment, using switches, cutouts, and grounding devices.
  • Train and direct the work of trainees in the trade.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal training program for a Journeyman Lineman.
  • Must meet examining board review of skills and experience and pass testing through Rocky Mountain Power.
  • Hot stick training and experience.
  • A Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.
