Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Lineworker to join our team. As a key member of our Power Delivery department, you will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing our power lines and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and maintain power lines and distribution systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as line trucks and backhoes, to build and maintain electric systems.
  • Work with blasting and explosive materials, and climb poles to construct, repair, or maintain electric line equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric service outages, and train apprentices in line work and equipment operation.
  • Perform switching and mechanical duties in substations, and install and maintain street light systems.
  • Patrol and inspect substations, transmission lines, and equipment, and make reports of findings.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a formal training program for a Journeyman Lineman.
  • Must meet examining board review of skills and experience, and pass testing through Rocky Mountain Power.
  • Candidate must have hot stick training and experience, and a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Physical Demands

The job duties of this position require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects, as well as sustained awkward positions and postures. Additional requirements include forceful grip and pinch, manipulation of small objects, and balancing on one or both legs during dynamic activities.
