Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled Electrical Lineworker to join our team. As a key member of our Power Delivery department, you will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing our power lines and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and maintain power lines and distribution systems to ensure safe and efficient electric service.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as line trucks, backhoes, and wire pulling equipment.
  • Work with blasting and explosive materials and devices.
  • Climb poles to construct, repair, or maintain electric line equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric service due to line faults and other emergency outages.
  • Train and instruct apprentices in all phases of line work.
  • Perform switching and other mechanical duties in substations.
  • Install and maintain street light systems.
  • Patrol and inspect substations, transmission, and distribution lines and equipment.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Lineman certification.
  • Hot stick training and experience.
  • A Class A Commercial Driver's License.

This position requires a post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening to ensure the candidate meets the physical demands of the job.

Physical Demands

The job duties of this position require lifting in excess of 75 lbs, carrying in excess of 75 lbs, and pushing and pulling in excess of 100 lbs of exertional force. The position also requires sustained, awkward positions/postures, including bending and twisting at the waist and neck.
