Vitalant is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a vital role in providing technical support to our high-complexity testing laboratory.

About the Role

We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist with a strong background in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross-match. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field and be certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT).

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross-match.
  • Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
  • Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT).
  • State licensure as required by regulations.
  • 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
