Job Description

As a Project Procurement Manager at Linde Engineering North America LLC, you will play a critical role in driving the company's strategic sourcing and commercialization efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the procurement of Electrical Equipment (Motors, Switchgear, MCC, Electrical Drives, Transformers, and Devices) for industrial plant applications.

You will collaborate with the LE strategic sourcing team to create, maintain, and negotiate local and/or global frame agreements that align with the company's product line strategy and business interests. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, as well as negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best possible price and delivery performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business objectives
  • Managing supplier relationships and fostering strategic partnerships
  • Conducting technical and commercial evaluations to ensure the best possible value for the company
  • Leading negotiations with suppliers to resolve disputes and claims
  • Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) with suppliers to drive supplier behaviors

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or supply chain management. You will also need to have at least 5-10 years of experience in a procurement or project management role, with a proven track record of driving strategic sourcing and commercialization efforts.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Certifications in procurement, such as C.P.M. (NAPM Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPIM (APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
  • Experience with ERP business systems
